Ways to give
Somebody paid for the room you needed at twenty. Be that somebody.
Every part of Thriving, Not Just Surviving is free to the student who walks in — the seven-week series, the clinicians, the yoga mats, the art journals, the room itself. That is only true because people choose to fund it.

Why this, specifically
The gap you'd be filling.
A student is assaulted. The campus offers her a counselling appointment in four weeks and an advocate she has to tell the whole story to. She takes neither. Most don't.
What she will take is a free yoga class on a Tuesday evening, with other people who also flinch at certain sounds, where nobody asks her a single question about it. Seven weeks later, her flashbacks have dropped by a fifth and her sense of safety is up forty percent.
That's the whole model. It's inexpensive, it's measured, and it reaches the survivors that clinical services never do — because it removes the one barrier nobody else removes.
“The work that The Thriving Initiative does is so important because it focuses on how to heal outside of a therapist's office.”— Tony Muñoz, program officer & volunteer

Employer matching
A great many companies will double a gift to a 501(c)(3). Ask your HR team about their matching program and give them our EIN, 85-0827076. It is the single easiest way to turn $250 into $500.
By cheque
Make it payable to The Thriving Initiative and include your address so we can send a receipt.
